The same President Hasan Sheikh Mohamud who couldn't pay the mere $100 per month salary of the security forces and civil servants for 2 full years.
President Farmaajo increased their salary twice and provided separate funds intended for their food rations. He has also setup the continuous pension payments of soldiers who were killed or crippled in the line of duty. Even the soldiers who were wounded in 1977 war with Ethiopia got their pensions under this government.
President Farmaajo also created integrated battalions such as Gorgor, which is 5,000 strong; Haramcad, which is 1200 strong; and also newly trained forces in Eritrea, who are 8,000 strong. Those are a total 13,000 SNA + 1200 Haramcad police forces who are all integrated units.
Before President Farmaajo assumed power, the SNA didn't even have a file, meaning no one know who was a soldier. It was basically a clan militia whose commanders took their salary, exaggerate their force numbers, and give their salary sometimes and other times keep it. Under Farmaajo, today the SNA, SPF, and civil servants all have files, are fully identified, and get their salary in their bank accounts.
How can even people compare the two presidents' accomplishment. One can observe the difference in a broad daylight. At the end, they're 2 Somali presidents who did the best they could for their country, and each one of them moved the country forward.
