They should only be recognised once we have a sitting new president and we should pursue our goals of a confederation. Even if they refuse to leave Puntland we must enforce it. What's behind this strategy?

By dangling the possibility of a state within Somalia he wants to create loyal and hopefully warring groups inside Somaliland.
