Nimaan dab kuistaagin, dambaska kuleylkisa kama caraaro.

A man who stepped on fire, does not run away from the heat of ashes.

This proverb means someone who has faced challenges often becomes resilient and less intimidated by similar circumstances in the future; just as a person who's stepped on fire, doesn't fear ashes' heat.

It’s actually the other way around. It means a man who never stood on fire doesn’t fear the ashes’ heat i.e he underestimates the heat of the ashes because he never stood on fire.

Another great proverb about underestimating the situation is

Naag fadhida legdin la fudud
A sitting women thinks wrestling is easy (this is used to people that criticizes other from the side line. ‘I would’ve done this and that’)
