This is more evident on semi fob families who had their first kids back in Somalia then moved to the west and had more kids. I've observed that almost universally those who spent their infant years in Somalia are shorter than their siblings who were born and bred in the west.
After the industrialisation the Japanese men have gained on average more than 10cm. Somalis were already semi tall ethnicity on average but their full potential is held back by poor nutrition. So it shouldn't be surprising to see tall Somalis in the west.

My dads family are tall with my pops being 6 ft and my uncle and most of his 10+ sons back home being 6”0 - 6”3 range. I am 6”1. My family back home are Agro pastoralists who are mainly farmers and cow herders so they are quite lean for the most part and the food they eat is much more healthy (cambuulo, soor with spinach or milk etc). Rice and pasta is a rare commodity for them.
Majoirty of my Mali niggas here in the west are 5”11 - 6”0. Not hard to believe. We are quite a tall ethnic group

That's not short for a man in my opinion.
This is big facts. We can also compare North Korea and South Korea heights records in last 50 years. South Koreans are on average 2-3 inches taller despite being the SAME people just recently seperated and thus South Koreans eating good. Same with the diaspora Somalis and natives.
