Sanburu = Sanbuur (HJ - fled their Adal wars southwards)

Rendille = Reer Diin Leh (waaqist Somalis who refused Islam, early 7th century)

Guuraage = Guur Raaga/raagay (distant travellers - known for their business travel and trading)

Don't forget the Dir sub-clans that were native to Hararghe until they were assimilated by Oromos after the weakening of Adal Sultanate.

Don't forget a clan in Saho group called Gadafur who were originally Gadabursi and they fled to the red sea after the collapse of Adal Sultanate.

You forgot Masai ( Mas Ay ).
Kalinjin ( Kalajibin )
Luo ( LO )
Swahili( Socoxili)

If you’re creative enough anything sounds like Somali . Turn Sanburu into Samburu and an ethnic Nilotic group from Sudan turns into Habar Jeclo .

Ps . Either Islam never reached Rendille or they are Muslim Somali who became Waaqists . The former theory is what some of them claim . The reer diid story is a fabrication .

Rendille arent somali. Their story is propaganda.
There are some clans within them like the Odola who claim a Somali origin .

They are very related to Somalis and both groups know this . It was forbidden to kill a Somali in their ancient culture . Another example : Sunday was a day of camel rest in theirs and our culture .; people avoided loading camels on a Sunday . We were united by a pastoral Camel culture centred around Waaq worship . The Rendille became heavily Nilotic after mixing with Samburu and the Soomaal became Muslims .

The closest to them were the Gabbra ( former Somali Garre and Sakuye , who became oromosised .
