Op got people hot. What hes saying is reality tbh. Most older faraxs with second wives in africa dont put in much work or take care of their first wife and kids like they should. Some due to financial reasons possibly and others dont care lol. These faraaxs only go back during the winter when it suits them to see the other wife and kids. i have relatives who do this and its common really.

It doesnt cost much so its not a suprise the younger generation might want to do the same but 2 wives is asking for problems if you're under 35 or even 40 imo.

I myself will most likely marry from back home next time but not from baadiiyo tho lol

It’s very common. I know a few young brothers (under 40) who do this, they work very hard and take extra shifts so they can afford to take a month or two to go back home and visit their other families.

it definitely is common in the somali community but does the first wife know? The older faraxs let it be known but the u40s mostly do not from what ive seen which is why i said that age group is asking for problems with a 2nd wife.

What xalimo born and/or raised in the west in her 30s will accept you getting a second wife? people let me know

Like I said, there are fathers in the west who spends hours working and rarely see their kids. So it’s not different. I’m spending quality time with them when I’m there. Children need their mothers, a roof over their heads and economic security. This is what I’m providing for them back home

it is different because those dads can arrive to their kids within a call. You are on the other side of the world. No selfrespecting man even think about havng kids and already living in another country

No most don’t know or at least pretend not to know. They are married to young religious sisters.
