Border control, whether it is land, sea, or air, is the responsibility of the federal govt. This wrangling is all about the election in 2024, but the role of the US Supreme Court is to interpret the law.

As a fellow Texan I just want to say Mexican migration hasn't affected me or friends and family at all.
Most of the ones without citizenship just end up working low wage jobs which are usually the jobs no one wants. Most of these guys don't earn degrees either so they aren't exactly stealing jobs from Cadaans in white collar fields. Lots of these immigrants work on our farms out in the rural areas.
Their children tend to have low college attendance rates as well. Especially Hispanic men. A lot of these guys just end up working in blue collar trades right after they graduate high school.
Majority of my Mexican friends from high school ended up becoming HVAC techs, mechanics, electricians, diesel mechanics, plumbers, and construction workers. They also work in the old fields as well.

Exactly. All they are doing is filling essential jobs white people don't want to do. America is run on immigration.
