Living for 1000 years

Their is a movie called "man from earth" about a man who lived for thousands of years till the present day and never aged passed 35.

You should check it out. Its really well done. He talks about the time sailing with columbus and being a student of buddha with a bunch of scholars.
:lawd:

Thank you Am going to watch it

Thats like a curse i hope we never reach that day

Same, I got bored of this world by age 16, I already saw and did everything I wanted to really do except for a few things. living for a thousands years would be hell I seek refuge from Allah from ever living that long.

The thing is in the past people lived for 1000 years and they didn't have any of the techonology and things we have nowadays, question is what did they do all day for 1000 years, just farm and hunt and eat and have kids? They didn't have mass suicide so they seemed to be content living that long
Saxib don’t say that is impossible to get bored from this life there is always new things pop out.

Im 31 and I already feel old, imagine living for 1000 years :nahgirl:
I think u will change ur mind because no one want to see their loved ones like parents or grandparents get so old that they can’t do basic things without help and worst thing.

Life is supposed to be difficult, that is the good part, and we still love it.
No thats not the good part, your only saying that because of what the difficulty brings you, noone loves difficulty.
You love life because you are blind to the reality of it, and it is in your nature to be in love with the world, once you withdraw yourself from it and look at it objectivly you will see it for its true nature, if you are too close to a picture you cannot see the whole thing, once you step back you will see what life is really like
Overcoming adversity, developing yourself, taking on new challenges is the good part.
No it isn't the good part, you are saying that because you are trapped in a cycle of ease and hardship and can't escape it, so you accept the hardship and only look to the ease to stop yourself from going insane, and try to find positives in the negatives, in actuality you deep down yourself that all of these difficulties is not worth the ease and if you could escape it you would, but you can't so you allowed yourself to be deluded and be comfortable with being a human boxing bag
Imagine if we had perfect lives, it takes the essence out of life and we'd still be unfulfilled.
Perfect lives in the dunya*, impossible, the dunya is created in a way, if we had easy lives, we would still have hardship, the unfulfilled feeling is a hardship in and within itself, which proves my point, nothing in this dunya can ever be perfect, if you trade one Good thing for another you are met with another hardship.
Thats the point, without harship you suffer, and with hardship you suffer, you have just accepted that you are going to suffer and gave up and embraced it.
Jannah is the only perfect life, there is no caveats or trade offs or feelings of unfulfillment etc.. it is the only perfect life, you live with no hardship but you still feel fulfilled, you live without any of the difficulties in this life, without boredom or sadness or hard work, and you feel perfect and great.
You need a more optimistic mindset.
I would argue I am the most optimistic person here. its just your idea of optimism pertains to the dunya whereas mine is much deeper than that, I do not desire the dunya except what I need, I am optimistic in all facets of my life that everything that will happen is good for me in this and the next life. I do not believe that I will ever get what I want in this life though, that is factually impossible, and everyone knows it.
From your comments it sounds like you already hung your boots up in the game of life, you sound young too so thats even more tragic.
How have I hung up my boots in the game of life? I just don't care for this world and pursuing it.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If Adam's son had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him."

Sahih al-Bukhari 6439
U proved my point, u will never be satisfied in the world, only after death, so don't seek this world
