Thats useless. We need a country that has influence to recognise us.Somaliland should just pay a insignificant country to recognize it. Once that occurs the rest will follow.
It shall be a dark day for the history of the Somali people when Somaliland receives it's recognition. Somalia needs to step up it's game and show that it is a country that can stand on it's own two feet, because if Somaliland becomes recognised, the other regions (notably Puntland) shall soon try to secede and I fear that in a few decades, Somalia will cease to exist as a nation state. But hey, that's a worse case scenario.Thats useless. We need a country that has influence to recognise us.
If Peter Pham becomes Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, Somaliland will get recognition.
If the Gulf crisis worsens and Farmaajo stays neutral the gulf states will give Somaliland recognition.
If Jeremy Corbyn gets voted in, the UKs foreign policy on Somalia will change.
If Raila Odingi wins Kenya will recognise Somaliland.
