Carson King, 24, was hailed a hero after he solicited beer money in the background of a ESPN College GameDay broadcast, only to later donate the proceeds he received to sick children. He raised over 1 Million for a children Hospital.

the Des Moines Register decided to look through old social media and found two racists tweets that he had when he was 16.

"the tweets purportedly compared black mothers to gorillas and made light of black people killed in the holocaust."


The Newspaper defended itself:

The Des Moines Register went on the defensive, releasing a statement from their editor claiming that they were undecided about publishing the information and did not take their decision to do so 'lightly'.

But just hours later, the newspaper was left red-faced when it was revealed that the reporter who unearthed King's offensive tweets had also reportedly written some damning social media posts of his own.

Several Twitter users shared screenshots that appeared to show the Des Moines Register reporter, Aaron Calvin, making homophobic and racist remarks

The newspaper says they are now conducting an investigation

What has Iowa and in particular the Des Moines Register got to do with Liberals? It is a TrumpLand State and a newspaper that writes this kind of stuff about Muslims. They strongly supported the travel bans of Somalis to the United States.
