Alhamdulila my family is nothing like that, all siblings are pious good Muslims married with 4+ Kids to other Somalis alhamdulila some with good degrees and successful jobs. next generation of nephews neices looking good too.

The only thing I would add would be parents got divorced but it was at a later stage, dad continued to be involved and never had kids scattered around.

I advice the parents keep the deen pray for your kids, my mum is super religious and devoted it’s through her duas allah guided us in the land of kufr

most good families produce good offspring stay away from welfare, lies, riba, do good to others allah will bless your offspring.

Even WHO (UN) stated 1 out of 3 Somalis are mentally ill. I mean just look around. Look at the Somali families you know. Each family has a mentally ill one.

None of it applies to me. I believe this is not the entirety of Somali households but maybe a sizeable fraction. Like 10% to 30 %.
