The debt to China is in the blue.

The language of “debt-trap diplomacy” reflects Western anxieties, not African realities

I never knew this the propaganda against China in Africa is really strong I also think it's a lot of debt interest from Western banks that drives the debt high.

Yes but this is only to 2015. Is there a chance that in recent years the amount do debt from China to African countries has increased

Yes it is only to 2015. I myself would like to see the 2021 figures. But even though I think the blue would have increased- I am guessing it would still not have become the majority. If you look at the chart- it increased gradually and I would guess it has continued to increase at a somewhat similar rate. But I would like to see the 2021 figures.

As of 2018, the BBC has said this:

"Around 20% of African government external debt is owed to China, says the Jubilee Debt Campaign, a charity which campaigns for the cancellation of poor countries' debt."

(I don't actually trust the BBC but I cite the BBC so people can't say I'm citing RT or CGTN or something like that)
