I’m sorry but I think you have a poor understanding of the Quran. Stop trying to compare Quran with modern science.
Hadith No. 6707:
Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (mpbuh) took hold of my hands and said: Allah the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and He caused animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (pbuh) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, ie. Between afternoon and night.
The words six yaum are best translated as six days. Most of the people’s translation of this word in this verse use the word Day or period which is wrong. "A day" can be translated as "a period" when the word preceding the word day is not a number or quantity. Otherwise the word "day" should be considered as a unit of measurement what we call as SI units in physics. For example: 6 meters, 6 kilos, 6 seconds. Therefore translating six yawm as six periods is irrelevant as the purpose of this verse was meant to reveal the quantity of time that God took to create earth and heaven. Furthermore, this translation of 6 days (24 hours) is supported by reading the Hadith whereby the prophet Mohamed said that the creation process started on a Sunday and ended on Friday which confirms the 6 days duration.
