1. Ethnic solidarity among the diaspora - somalis are able to aid and support each other on a clan level but that doesn't translate over to the ethnic level. The Jewish community also have clans but they are able to unite whenever thre is an attack to the Jewish people as whole.
2. Guiding children into mathematics and the hard sciences - the well known stereotype about the Jewish community is that they are good with money.
But how did this come to be? Centuries of guiding their children into mathematics and the hard sciences because if you have a good understanding of these subjects, you have a good understanding of reality.
3.keeping a lowkey profile - now I know this one will be the hardest one to follow for my fellow somalis, as there doesn't seem to be a more attention seeking group in this planet than us.
However, if you look at the Jewish community they rarely speak on issues that don't affect them. The only time you notice their presence is when there's an issue in Israel or someone says or does something antisemitic.
4.Endogamy(marrying within your ethnic group)- the Jewish community is notorious for marrying within their group.
Because they know that marrying out means resources leave the community and that means the community will become poorer and weaker over time.
5. Insular world view - the Jewish community look at all other groups with disrust and apprehension, this is because the Jewish people have been persecuted by ajanabis for centuries leading to them coming closer to one other and having an insular view to their own community and not paying much attention turn to what is happening outside of it.
Somalis need to understand that no-one not even other Muslims have our backs, they will f**k us over if it helps them in anyway.
*NOTE*I will be adding more points to this thread as they come to.
