Beesha duduble have announced they will recommence the war against sh*bab in galmudug. If this is serious, we could potentially see ceelbuur and other areas liberated this year.
They’ve tried that before but it just led to moles infiltrating the SNA. You just have to take the fight to them and batter them as is happening in PL.There should be a way out for the low-level soldiers, this will make fighting them easier, we need some re; education camps.
Not even being snarky or anything, but Duduble openly have supported and fought in the ranks of AS, they’re literally one of the most pro Al shabab reers out there. It’s a geniune question. How’s that going to work out? Aren’t most of them supporters of AS?
They need to be arrested and reeducated, the way out isn't joining the military but serving time. They’ve tried that before but it just led to moles infiltrating the SNA. You just have to take the fight to them and batter them as is happening in PL.
Sure I’d say that’s a more than viable set of solutions, but that’s really incumbent on if said insurgency group is on the back foot and low morale, right now Al shabab carry the momentum and they’ve been engaged in offensives all across the south, their fighters have high morale and I can’t see them giving it up all of the sudden. They need to be arrested and reeducated, the way out isn't joining the military but serving time.
I used to play an old game that dealt with insurgency funny enough a lot of the tactics used in the game were devised by someone who had a BA in terrorism and insurgency(social science), it was hard just fighting them, you need to win the hearts and minds of people, limit civilian casualties and offer a way out for low level grunts.
How so? Just because ceelbuur is under sh*bab control doesn’t mean the majority of them are AS supporters, a lot of duduble live in xamar and other places in galmudug. How’s that going to work out? Aren’t most of them supporters of AS?
Stop playing GTA and calling hookers ‘civilians’They need to be arrested and reeducated, the way out isn't joining the military but serving time.

Putting territorial control aside, Duduble are infamous in Somalia for being the backbone of AS, they provide a lot of fighters and bombers. they’ve also got a deep political relationship with AS, even going as far back in the ICU era.How so? Nah this was old skool game, I forgot the name, it was text based web game in the early 2010's.Stop playing GTA and calling hookers ‘civilians’![]()
There are far more duduble soldiers in the SNA than there are in AS. Many of them have died liberating Somali lands from AS and I don’t think there’s a single duduble leader in AS. To say that entire clans support AS in the south is false. I often hear this rhetoric used against raxanweyne, duduble, and madoweyne. But, I do agree with you that the duduble in ceelbuur are definitely pro sh*baab.Putting territorial control aside, Duduble are infamous in Somalia for being the backbone of AS, they provide a lot of fighters and bombers. they’ve also got a deep political relationship with AS, even going as far back in the ICU era.
im genuinely not trying to be inflammatory when I say that entire clans support that group down south, it’s the naked truth.
The problem in south is they consider them relative or family ina-deer, even they let them join SNA and Somalia goverment. They’ve tried that before but it just led to moles infiltrating the SNA. You just have to take the fight to them and batter them as is happening in PL.
Would you say this mentality is different in the north? Do people there take a harsh stance against family members that are involved with t*rrorism. The problem in south is they consider them relative or family ina-deer, even they let them join SNA and Somalia goverment.
Yes, and terrorists are regularly executed by the dozens there. Anyone who is convicted will be put to death regardless whether it’s a big tribe or small tribe. Funnily enough, I saw some west Africans recently crying about a regime executing innocent people, I forget which country but it was fake news. They were using footage of shabaab executions in PL to trick people. They were all wearing macawiis. Somalis were correcting them in the comments.Would you say this mentality is different in the north? Do people there take a harsh stance against family members that are involved with t*rrorism.
What I find strange about the south is that there's always rumours about someone’s neighbour is sh*bab, someone’s cousin is sh*bab so why is no one snitching then? It’s very normalised.Yes, and terrorists are regularly executed by the dozens there. Anyone who is convicted will be put to death regardless whether it’s a big tribe or small tribe. It’s the same thing you hear in the west. People don’t like to snitch and I honestly don’t blame them anymore. Why risk getting hurt or killed, when you know even if this person is caught they will just be replaced by someone else? It’s the authorities job to police and capture criminals imo, not the people. The people don’t have guns to defend themselves and the police won’t patrol your house to protect you if you tell. What I find strange about the south is that there's always rumours about someone’s neighbour is sh*bab, someone’s cousin is sh*bab so why is no one snitching then? It’s very normalised. Even my mum told me to avoid suuqa xoolaha because it’s sh*bab central.
in galkaacyo, this lady’s grandson was found guilty for being one and he was executed she didn’t hide him nor complain against the government. The culture is very strict and intolerant of terrorists to ‘clean up your house before it spills in the outside’ per-sayWould you say this mentality is different in the north? This very true, especially in the tuulos. A house will be packed with 10 and 2 of them will be al ShabaabWhat I find strange about the south is that there's always rumours about someone’s neighbour is sh*bab, someone’s cousin is sh*bab so why is no one snitching then?
