lol thats sounds fun to say.

from 40-90 its basically 4-9 of the Arabic numbers.

their 4 is arba'a and their 40 is arba'iin

Yeah I don't know how the 1-10's managed to take those forms^ and the 10's managed to be different
I see the similarities between Amharic and Tigrinya numbers especially the 10s section

I don't know how to tag you lol
Yeah it's just 2 and 9 that sound very different

And lol even when people tag me I don't get notified so don't bother:mjlol:

All of those are Arabic. I believe birtukhan came from burtuqal.

Btw we use xabxab too.

Let's try the numbers

1. Kow - axad
2. Labo -koot
3. Sadex -shishti
4. Afar - haret
5. Shan - xamishti
6. Lix -sidisti
7. Todobo - saati
8. Sideed - suut
9. Sagaal - zaht'egn
10. Toban - asir

20. Labaatan -kuya
30. Sodon - sasa
40. Afartan - arbin
50. Konton - khemsin
60. Lixdan - sittin
70. Todobaatan - satiti asir
80. Sideetan - suut asir
90. Sagaashan - zaht'ena
100. Boqol - alfi

After that it's just laba boqol, sadex boqol and so on till you reach 1000 - kun.

@Meles Zenawi feel free to add the Tigrinya numbers
