Same, I heard there's modern standard Arabic and colloquial Arabic (Dialects). From what I heard, Modern standard Arabic is the neutral dialect spoken on TVs and newspapers. People speak it (Modern standard Arabic) if they can't understand each others dialects. I don't know which one to learn so I'm planning to ask an Arabic speaker how the language works and what is mutual.I would choose Arabic as well, but I don't know which dialect I should take up.
Interesting, isn't Mandarin one of the hardest languages to learn? I'm guessing i'll take a lot of time to be fluent in that language. So far in my life I have only really wished I could speak Mandarin on a number of occasions. Mainly for good Chinese software I came across on the web that I couldn't understand as it wasn't translated yet.

They literally have new sounds in their language which are extremelt subtle. Its an ancient language which takes alot of effort to grasp its complexity.Interesting, isn't Mandarin one of the hardest languages to learn? I'm guessing i'll take a lot of time to be fluent in that language.
What languages are you interested in and would like to learn? I would choose Arabic and Improving my Somali.
