I wouldn't. The thing with mixed weddings is that they mess my head up in regards to what to wear.

I have the luck that there are barely any weddings where I live, sometimes I get second hand invited to a wedding in a bigger city but I never go. If I would be personally invited, I'd maybe go but there's always the exact same thought process.

It's impossible to wear something nice and look good without me feeling like a giant hypocrite.

Mixed weddings are no different than the streets. I don't wear short sleeves outside, so how can I wear a dirac?

Okay, that can be easily solved by wearing a nice blazer or jacket over it.

Next we have the hijab. I don't wear turban outside of the house, so why should I make an exception? Okay, I'll just wear a regular one then and wear it in a different way so I still look like I put in some effort.

Okay, next important thing: make up. If I wear minimal make up outside of the house normally, isn't it hypocrite to go out with a full face make up face to a mixed wedding?

So.. then I have the option left to wear a modest dirac or dress, regular hijab and barely any make up.

And when I think about that.. I'm like: Well I'm not about to be the ugliest and plain looking chick in the room so I might as well stay home. :mjcry:

Every time. It's not that I massively regret not attending tho, I'm an introvert anyway.

Damn being a woman sounds tough :icon lol:
