Are u still down if she calls it canjeero iyo oodkac? :mjohreally:
Oooh that stuff made me sick when I went to Somalia I loved it as a kid now I can't stand canjelo after eating every single morning I am glad to just have my granola breakfast every morning or fried egg on toast, can't stand canjelo maybe with sugar, however it messes with my digestive system so bad.

That sucks for u, Canjeero/laxoox is a gift from God. My favourite breakfast in the whole world.

I wouldn't. The thing with mixed weddings is that they mess my head up in regards to what to wear.

I have the luck that there are barely any weddings where I live, sometimes I get second hand invited to a wedding in a bigger city but I never go. If I would be personally invited, I'd maybe go but there's always the exact same thought process.

It's impossible to wear something nice and look good without me feeling like a giant hypocrite.

Mixed weddings are no different than the streets. I don't wear short sleeves outside, so how can I wear a dirac?

Okay, that can be easily solved by wearing a nice blazer or jacket over it.

Next we have the hijab. I don't wear turban outside of the house, so why should I make an exception? Okay, I'll just wear a regular one then and wear it in a different way so I still look like I put in some effort.

Okay, next important thing: make up. If I wear minimal make up outside of the house normally, isn't it hypocrite to go out with a full face make up face to a mixed wedding?

So.. then I have the option left to wear a modest dirac or dress, regular hijab and barely any make up.

And when I think about that.. I'm like: Well I'm not about to be the ugliest and plain looking chick in the room so I might as well stay home. :mjcry:

Every time. It's not that I massively regret not attending tho, I'm an introvert anyway.

Mix weddings are bad! my ex wife, she saw a better looking person and she exchanged numbers during our wedding. 6 months later I see him in my room now I take care of their children

I'm quite confused when I see hijabi wear extremely see through Dirac in weddings

In segregated all female weddings. I get it. I wear extremely see through diracs myself and barely anything under . It's fine there it's all ladies.

But would you wear a see through Dirac with nothing but bras underneath in a mixed wedding? . :what1:

Honest opinions

You know what I find weird and odd is that Most Somalis are religious Mashallah!

BUT when it comes to Somali weddings
Things turn haram Quick with the twerking and grindings

This reminds me of a girl from middle school that would wear a hijab although her uniform showed half her stomach, LOL. She wasn't suspended yet the principle sent a girl home for wearing hair extensions...
