That has nothing to do with restrictions tho. Many kids learn to fear Allah and are allowed to do as they please. All it takes is one bad influence and they're gone too.

There's a happy medium here.

fear god, yes, but most of the time their rebellion from their parent's crazy strict rules makes them take it too far.

I agree on finding a middle ground, I could've easily gone off the deep end if I didn't care about disappointing my parents and losing their trust. I'm sure some people would've taken advantage of that kinda situation.

I was riding the train one day when this guy sat next to me and started making small talk, about his family. then he says, my parents would love you. we'll have a family and a nice house. at this point I'm uncomfortable but I was a teen at the time and didn't know how to shut down those kind of people. after that he says abaayo hal mar aan ku shumiyo, and he tries to but I stop him and he says please, hal mar leh waan ku jeclahay. I ran out of there on the next stop.
