I know a couple of guys who don’t really pay mehr and wedding expenses. They usually get everyone in there family to contribute. They don’t tell there wife to be for obvious reasons and lie like they got it. How would you feel or react if your man wasn’t contributing to your union?

You want your father in law paying for everything? Are you marrying his dad or his brother lol. Guys like this should fast all week wallahi.
It's not just the father in law. They collect money from relatives and neighbours. My family chipped in for one of my neighbours son's wedding.
Thats sad, If I was a girl I would look for a guy who’s is financially responsible and has a decent job abd have no wedding.
Imagine he can’t provide later on.
He should be financially secure with a stable job, definitely. It's ok if family help out with wedding costs, gifts to bride & family etc., as long as he's contributing most or whatever he can. But the mahr he should pay himself.
