Texting everday is fine if things are getting serious.
Basically, read the room. If a girl doesn't want you messaging her everyday, either things are early days, so you need to chill out. Or she doesn't like you.
I can't speak for all women, but a guy that messages everyday is a good thing. Calling everyday is annoying though.

Clingy men are usually outward and more social, quite ironically. They’re usually the types that are not afraid of opinions of outsiders, and are affirming with their beliefs and emotions.
Women are used to men who are stoic and apprehensive of the opinion of their partner. They wouldn’t text more than once or twice, since they wouldn’t want to come of as clingy and obsessive, which they think is a turn-off (from the woman’s perspective).

Fully agree. Live life unapologetically and on your terms, being in constant fear of coming off as clingy is unironically more pathetic than actually being clingy. The faux stoicism shit gets old really quickly.
People should text/call whenever they feel like it instead setting these weird little arbitrary rules like they're fucking teenager lol

I don't think men realise how they push women away with that nonsense. Being overly stoic just makes me think he isn't into me, so.... next. But by all means be stoic in other most situations, but if you like a girl message her and show you're making an effort. If a girl likes you, she'll want to hear from you.

I meant more along the lines of don't play games, just do/be what's authentic for you. If you're a stoic/reserved person by nature, then there's no need to push yourself to be something you're not. It's fundamentally a matter of being comfortable with who you are. Obviously read the room like you said, but after a certain point you just stop caring about all that stupid shit.
