This logic applies to any country that kill protestors such as the USA
I don't understand your point.Protestors get killed across Somaliland and it's not unique to Laascaanood.
Please don't talk about civilised when in Bosaso you have your own armies killing each other in the past year and causing innocent civilians lives and migration
What are you on about development and elections as if that's what Somaliland hasn't been doing by even adminstrating a special TAX across off all SL just for the developing of the East side of Somaliland. Now it's safe for some local NGO development to take place such as the solar energy and hospital. Most importantly increased capacity of the local government which has a higher than even Ceeri-Gaabo.All these points led to more acceptance.
Your lense on Somaliland is stuck at 2010 instead of 2023.To give you context in the first ever council elections that took place in Somaliland in 2003 only 6261 votes came from Sool.Fast forward to 2021 where in which 63,179 votes came from Sool and specifically more than 30,000 votes in Laascaanood district council (one of them was assassinated as a result of requesting support from Somaliland with the killings of his reer in Boocame by MJ's in 2021)
Are things 100% of course not but stop pushing the narrative it's just bribery whilst dismissing sound economic and governance for the reason why LA is adminstrated by SL and no other entity.
The report below discusses the economic aspects of LA which is a good read.

Going back to what transpired recently the person who was assassinated was a politician in Somaliland and even ran for Parliament. He was killed a day before registration of the upcoming election was meant to take place.this an election where there are two Dhulbahante political party leaders vying to win so one can positively assume voter registration would significantly increase in their constituents.
So who benefits from causing upheaval by assassinating a Somaliland politician?
Also the comments about SNM doesn't make sense as history isn't on your side
