Kulmiye can be a decades long ruling party

Yo @Gadhwayne do you agree that as long as Kulmiye rotates the Presidency of JSL among I block subclans and in particular Habar Yunis succeeds Musa Bihi then Kulmiye has a great chance to remain in ruling our country for many more years

No trolling please

One party states often lead to disgustingly poor nations. The Democratic system in Somaliland is top down not bottom up. Thus you get a system where media are arrested, corruption is rife and people are not free to express themselves.

Of course you are right but I meant that how Kulmiye could democratically remain in power for a long time to come. If Kulmiye was to govern really well but they only nominated people from just one particular sub clan eg Sacad Muuse then they'll still be voted out regardless of how well their record in government is. Many people unfortunately would vote for the devil from their reer instead of an angel from a different reer

I hope Waddani wins even if Kulmiye nominate HY. the new administration should immediately intervene in Wanlaweyn/FGS power struggles to promote peace and stability in the South. They should counter Kiikuuyu and Qoti as well as Isaaq hating Southern clans

Isaaq haters in Wanlaweyn/FGS would sponsor civil war in the North, with Amisom help, if they get the opportunity

This is just b.s. SL is not a one party country. Media are arrested for good reasons. They usually put out b.s news that could stir up civil unrest. People are free to express themselves as long as it's not treason.

Kulmiiye only won 2 elections. Silaanyo and recently biihi. Neither are from the same clan. Before them it was daahir riyaal who was also a different tribe. The country is based on 1 man 1 vote and the party who convinces the population wins

But you don't mind 1 party state in Somalia?

Correct but there is a possibility that Kulmiye could be different from the old UDUB party (ruled under Riyale and AUN Cigaal) in that they can rule for a very long time as long as a succession of SL presidents come from a wide variety of sub clans. They would be wise to nominate a future presidential candidate that isn't Habar Awal or Habar Jeclo

This is an exaggeration Kulmiye have kinda lost support from HJ who are the swing state by the way. Plus Bixii has now aligned himself with Samaroons. This a golden opportunity for Waddani to win. I hope they do

By clan background I should support Kulmiye the least but I really don't rate Cirro as a leader in any way, shape or form. Likewise adeer Faisal is very unappealing and is destined to be nothing other than a serial loser so it's high time UCID replaces him with a new party chairman

Kulmiye has lost support from muse abokor the laangaab side of HJ. Mohamed abokor is fully behind kulmiye. All kulmiye could field a Arab or CG and win the election.
I would prefer a HY though that is really a Somalilander that will run on a drain the swap card. All HY who have been treasonous during bixis term will face the sword.

compare JSL when udub was in power to kulmiye and you see how much of a failure that party is. truth of the matter is kulmiye is falling apart this second, even people from ina bixi’s subclan are moving to UCID which is why there is so much controversy surrounding two men who switched parties. reer gadiid are waddani, arap suldaans had a shir recently and moved to waddani, these are all hard-core kulmiye supporting sub sub clans.

kulmiye is over, even ina bixi knows that which is why he’s under pressure right now. if some hj politicians leaving the party wasn’t bad enough, he’s losing a lot of kulmiye support in the most important city (hargeysa) and his clansmen are switching to waddani or ucid.

the question is if waddani will fix the mess we are in today or not. if they’ll become successful like udub, or fail... I hope it is not the latter, and if it is then the entire political parties are corrupt and we need to bring or create new parties.

How was udub successful. The country didn't have a single project and the budget was less than 30 million:gucciwhat:

Kulmiiye accomplishments in 10 years

-Free Primary, Intermediary and Secondary education
-Opening of Livestock market and quarantine facilities
-DP World investment in Berbera Port
-Hargeisa and Berbera airport upgrade
-Ceerigaabo road
-Hargeisa Water Expansion
-Berbera Water Expansion
-National Parties were opened
-Currency changed from Somalian Shillings to SL shillings from Burco to Ceerigaabo to Lascaanood
-National institutions were re constructed defense planning NEC and others
-Budget went from 50 Million to over 250Million USD
-Dila borama road was built
- Khatumo and all other jabhads destroyed and eastern border closed
-Armed forced ranked
-Foreign policy allowed for ties with Lenya and Taiwan
-Full funding of our elections and upcoming projects(Burao Oodweyne road)
-Electricity costs reduced by more than half from $1/Kw to less than 60 cents/Kw
- Successfull Oil explorations surveyed and completed
- Berbera-Wajaale corridor
- Active Marines with modern equipment and boats
- Small scare Government mining and fishing
- Government supported small-medium scale farming throughout the country
- Civil servants and Army men salaries almost tripled

I could keep listing more successes for days

Landers like to repeat the same b.s. that Udub was good for SL. The only accomplishment I know of UDUB is capturing lascaanood. But capturing eastern lands is a tradition for every president.

If waddani wins the next elections than they have some big shoes to fill

Guys if as I predict the two opposition parties combined win a majority of Wakiilada seats in the upcoming parliamentary election then shouldn't we pressure the Kulmiye government to change the constitution so that we move from the (current) US style fully presidential system to a France style semi-presidential system whereby the executive branch has two heads (president and prime minister)
