Koreans make a movie about Somalia

This movie did numbers it got awarded for some awards in Asia I remember it going semi viral on Twitter. They gained profit off of promoting fantasy oppression and hiring random niggas to play Somalis
They said they had trouble gaining access to and hiring the hundreds of Somalis needed for the movie.
Blame our bs government and lack of infrastructure to be violated like this and be taken advantage of just like Black Hawk Down.
Somalis are to blame.
It’s bullshit bro don’t believe these ajnabis excuses, each movie gets millions to fund the set, out of all the Somalis in the world they couldn’t find one? The same reason the popular Netflix show Queen of the South couldn’t find a Somali to the play the part they casted which was in Somalia? If you believe this excuse then you just the same type of idiot they fool when hiring foreigners to mimick

You losers are the only ones to complain about not being accurately represented in a movie that makes you look bad.
It's a good thing they didn't cast a Somali actors, we can put disclaimers around the actors portraying us as wild animals.
I don't know why Somalis desperately want Ethnic Somali actors in these type of movies making them look bad, i mean Captain Phillips didn't exactly put us on the map in the most postive way all we got from that was ''I'm the captain now'' gifs/meme being dropped and us looking like ugly scary alien looking Pirates courtesy of Barkahd Abdi

I won't matter if it wins or not. It's box office in Korea and is now being distributed to 50 different countries including USA.
To be honest it's too late to care Somalis and Somalia's reputation is in shambles , this just adds another layer to it.

Koreans don't know anything about Somalia anyway and there is little to no contact between Somalis (both the West and in Somalia) and people living in Korea.
Now if any Somali goes to Korea, that movie is going to be brought up as a fresh refrence into us.
It will be funny to see what type of comments and treatments the Kpop obsessed Somali girls will get. Koreans are notoriously racist people
Why would you want actual Somalis there? I’m glad there was none.

Unironically, I have been to South Korea in 2016.
They know nothing about Somalia. I had to explain where it was located.
