Really? It was a plain guess from my side. Because sufis are already a minority in Somalia. I thought this was common practice for my side points view.

Those are Timoweyne Sufi order. Good people. You will find a lot of them in Mudug, have a few family members in that order.

Timoweyne are Salixiya they wear their hair like that because they think the prophet wore it that way.

Sufi is a methodology of tasawaf not a religion or a sect. 90 percent of sufis in Somalia will say siyaro is haram but the less educated rural folk do it and also wouldn’t call themselves sufis.
