Xamar is too rotten. After what happened in the 90s, I firmly believe that city is cursed. On top of that, Al Shabaab has had 10 years to create networks of allies and people to extort money from. There's an entire infrastructure in place to continue terrorizing the city. Moving the capital would force them to start from scratch, giving the FGS some room to breathe.

My point.

However it's probably best to build a brand new city from the ground up like they did in Nigeria.

Other than the few government and military building; private investors would jump at a chance to develop a fresh new capital with clear property laws.

So much investment is on hold at the moment because of the shady nature of Xamar.

Also in this case no clan could put a claim to it for the most parts so clan politics can be ignored when it comes to land titles and businesses.

How would guys feel if the capital is moved from Xamar to Kismayo what do you think are are the pros and cons to this
