Nah this isn't about Kismayo as Kismayo was only Majengo, Sokoni, Garedhani and Hafa Badawi, daroods only lived in Hafa Badawi ward

There was no city called Kismayo before the arrival of Darod. The Bajuun, living on the islands, had to beg the Oromo who lived on the coast to allow them access to the water wells on the mainland. Once the Darod came, the Bajuun abandoned the islands and began to live permanently on the coast.

Go ahead and look for any mention of Kismayo prior to 1870. The coast was very well known by Europeans at that point, but you will not find a single mention of Kismayo. Kismayo is a new city.

I knew people would fight over Kismaayo when this thread was created . Horta, why don’t people just build a new settlement on the coast the way my family is doing right now. We literally started building settlements on a remote location in between Baraawe and Merca far away from buuq and rabsho.

I never said it was a city, it was a bajuni coastal town , the names of wards I mentioned show that they weren't oromo or darood areas, Majengo , Sokoni and Garedhani. Even Hafa Badawi is Arabic.

The island connected to it was also known as Kismayu , where the Kismayu clan initially lived, Bajunis didn't abandon the islands when daroods migrated there . In fact some tribes were forced by siyad barre to move away from islands like fuma to inland towns like kudai

Nah first it has to be on land owned by your clan otherwise it would be a problem.
