From the pictures there's maybe one guy who look a bit bantu the rest look like regular Somali. But I didn't understand a word of what the women in the video were saying

There was a Somali D&M guy on this forum, whose haplogroup was Bantu. I also saw people on this forum who are D&M talking about absorbing Bantus. I think they've been marrying and adopting them for a long time, or they have a large number of sheegads. Either way, whenever you see videos from SWS, you can see it in their faces, not all of them, but a noticeable amount. For example, you'll see someone with Somali features, but the head shape is off, or they have 4C timo.

I do think there are pure Somali D&M, but I think the number of Bantus/mixed Bantus are underreported.

From all the footage from this team, and their arrival in Baydhabo, I strongly suspect that the Bantu population in South-West Somalia is severely underreported.
No doubt the Bantu population in SWS is extremely high. The only difference is that the ones in SWS are assimilated into the local tribes.

That being said they don't claim Bantu or 'Madowweyne' but other Reewin clans like Geelidle, Hariin, Eelaay or Leysaan etc... So in that regard you wouldn't hear that much about Bantus in SWS. There is a few Madowweyne clans in Shabeelada hoose especially around Marka cadey and Buulo Mareer.

Compared to the Bantus in Jubbaland who claim Madowweyne like Mushunguli or Shambara that live around jilib and Jamaame. Or the Shiidle and Shabeele and Makanne that live around Jowhar and Hirshabeele region.

But it's undeniable that the Bantu population is high in SWS. The reason why it's underrepresented is because all these bantus are part of Raxanweyn or Digil and mirifle. Hope that answers your question.

Konfur Galbeed is like a country of its own. You will find all sorts of people. Many of the guys in Buurxakabo, Buux Dhuubo and Qasax dheere are Karanle. Even Raarane Hawiye are present. Historians like IMLewis even go as far as saying clans like Raarane Hawiye have been in the dooy before the Raxanwayn arrived and were overwelmed or assimilated. Karanle can be found in Luuq district moving Gedo, Bay and Dollobay, they migrated there later on from Afdheer region, they had small number of Sixawle in the census there. Raxanwayn originally lived in Afdheer and left before Karanle.
