Kenyans Are Pissed Lol 😂

Those are all colonial industries and wealth left behind in the hands of colonialists from the British rule where Indians formed the economic and administrative middle class in colonial Kenya and was being imported to Kenya as a buffer. Somalis did not.

The fact they haven't nationalized those and allow them to control the production is the bigger problem. It goes with what @El Nino says you have White's & Indian foreigner's running your country's economy to no direct benefit to you and you invite Chinese to use you as laborers and abuse/slap you up afterwards.

But a Somali who are Africans, Your Neighbors and Native to Kenya simply opening a mall is a cause for an uproar waa yaaab. Mentally colonized.
The only reason why it's a semi developed country in the first place is because of cadaans, they pay the vast majority in tax. The black pop also take a absurd amount in welfare. Secondly how are you conflating the two issues? One set of citizens dominating the economy compared to a massive importation of undesirable foreigners whom they see competing for resources? the two issues arent the same.

Cadaans pay the most because they earn the most. Colonial legacy of Cadaans is why it's an underveloped country actually. For similar reasons why India is as well. The colonial economy was geared towards serving British interests, leading to the extraction of resources and exploitation of the local population.

Same goes for the infrastructure they built as they were primarily intended to facilitate the extraction of resources and the efficient administration of the colony, rather than fostering indigenous development.

With India for example the British destroyed the local trade and manufacturing industry, they imposed heavy taxes and tariffs on Indian goods, while at the same time providing subsidies and favorable treatment to British manufactured products, which dislodged Indian goods from the domestic and international markets.
They undermined local industries such as textiles, steel, shipbuilding, and handicrafts via the British East India Company's policy of monopolizing trade and controlling raw material supply chains which impacted the local industries.

Indian weavers, who had been renowned for their craftsmanship, were forced to buy British-made cloth, which was often cheaper due to subsidies and tariff advantages.

British control over Indian ports and trade routes disrupted centuries-old trade networks that had connected India to other parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe. This isolation from global trade limited opportunities for Indian merchants and traders and stifled economic growth.

They also destroyed the local agricultural economy of India in far worse ways, which led to famine and widespread sustained rural poverty to this day.
I won't go into details of that rn, but i am describing to you all of this to show you that Indians in East Africa are just a forced displacement and extension of the colonial British exploitation, they are not a reflection of Black pop or the native Africans ability to not be able to run their own economy.
