Ethiopia is a smart country, any Somali citizens can easily get Ethiopian visa either via online or upon arrival if you carry Somali passport.
If you carry Western passport you cannot even enter the country without a Visa.
As a result the Somalis' that went to Kenya for paperwork or transit for health reasons all go via Addis Ababa, the ticket price between Mogadishu-Addis has skyrocketed at the moment despite two daily flights.
People used to tolerate the corruption in Kenya but just obtaining a VISA you will have to pay ridiculous fee to Somali middleman and on top of that use unreliable airlines that arrive several hours late not even taking you directly to Nairobi, and once you arrive you have to pay a bribe.
Good riddance I say. I would advise anyone that needs consulate services to go Ethiopia, it's so much easier and no is asking you for bribes, the Xabashi's rank the lowest of all the African states in terms of corruption.
This is a blessing in disguise for many people, so glad I was forced to avoid Kenya because of this visa issue.
