Kenyan Politics has affected Somalia

@Lumumba Nyerere you have to understand that Kenya is a state without a majority and without a meaningful plurality. Somalis are already 35% the size of the Kikuyu, the largest ethnic group in Kenya, and have more than 2x the average household size of the Kikuyu. It is very plausible that in 20 years Somalis will be the largest tribe in Kenya. If Kenya remains a democracy until then, Somalis will be very politically powerful.

Not really though, there are only 2.7M Kenyan somalis at the moment out of a population of 50M. And with how My people are when it comes to outsiders yes you might get a token position here and there but we will never trust you. We will always make sure that our own controls the state machinery no matter what. as you enjoy the feeling of being at home but really not feeling at home.

He said Kikuyu, not all Kenya. And in democracy each vote is equal to the other.

Each vote is not equal in Kenya.
My nation Kenya is not truly democratic per se, do not get me wrong though. We are probably one of the most democratic countries on the continent, but we are not yet out of the woods as far as democracy. is concerned.

Kenya is not a real democracy. It's controlled by a small elite who put on a show for the masses every 5 years. That said, Somalis are doing well. Our region has no squatters, it is developing although at a slow pace, and collectively we are getting richer and richer.

When running from a lion you don’t have to be the fastest, just faster than the slowest man. Somalis do not have to become a majority, but just larger than Kikuyu, and that is where we are headed. There is no “sisi” in Kenya, there are Kalenjin, Kikuyu, Luhya, Kamba and Luo. When Somalis break into the big 5, we will be courted by every coalition. There can be no stable consensus on keeping the Somali out when the presidency is on the line.

Those numbers will never get there, the govt will always find a way through massacres, impoverishment, and just recklessness to always put certain tribes in their place. and trust me, there will always be a sisi when it comes outsiders. there is nothing to be proud of by being courted which if we are to be honest is just a way to show somalis they are safe as they get milked and pressed behind the scenes.

The question is though how close do Kenyans view one another the answer is not close at all if you knew anything you would know Somalis secured their spots by stopping the coup against moi. Kenyans only view eachother as one on KTN everywhere else is a different story. :icon razz:

Also why have you not stated your ‘tribe’ yet? Are you hiding behind the kenyan “ethnicity” where was that ethnicity in 2007?:cryinglaughsmiley:
