Timajileecs make up less than 1% of their population yet they constitute 3 of the 4 richest. Go figure.

As long as the capital is reinvested in the country then it doesn't matter, Kenya should follow China because they don't allow large money to leave the country, it should be reinvested and benefit the country

I agree. Kenyans should not care if non kenyans are the richest. The money is going to circle their country, reinvested, they will be like the White people are to African americans here, investing and increasing capitalism, therefore making the money circle around.

This doesn’t capture the true reality, which would be a look at prime land ownership. Kenyan authorities hide this information or “lose” it because the truth would be politically devastating. Kenyattas family are probably the biggest holders of arable land in the country. This makes their wealth much more secure, vast and long-standing than a mere “net worth” look would indicate. Next to them would likely be a wealth fund managed in the interest of former colonial oligarchs who have managed to retain their holdings. These are the true Lords, while these Indians are just nouveau riche, here today gone tomorrow.

When Kenya’s Attorney General told the International Criminal Court in July this year that there were no records to indicate that President Uhuru Kenyatta owned any land in the country, his comments offered a reflection of the mysterious nature of landownership in Kenya.

It is well known that the family of Kenya’s First President, Jomo Kenyatta, father to the current President, owns large tracts of the most productive land particularly in Central Kenya and at the Coast. Forbes Magazine placed the total land owned by Kenyatta and his family at 500,000 acresof prime land spread across the country.

A survey 2014 found that 50% of Kenya’s wealth is in the hands of political families, with the ownership of land providing the core of this wealth.

The skewed ownership of land is dire in a country where only 17% of the land is arable, with the rest mostly arid and semi arid. The Kenya Land Alliance says that more than 65% of this productive land in Kenya is in the hands of only 20% of the population.

The chaotic nature of land records in Kenya obviously suits the political and business elite who would like to maintain secrecy over their ownership of the country’s land. In recent audit, The Lands Ministry discovered that 1.3 million files were lost, misplaced or misfiled.

Lol and the only ethnic Kenyan they listed is uhuru kenyatta lol
There's no such thing as a ethnic kenyan, Kenya is a multicultural state built not on a shared national heritage but colonial borders. Its not a ethno-state and shouldn't outshine somalia as it currently is but even a multi ethnic patchwork of peoples get along better then we do

Timojilec were there during colonialism as the British had brought them for also business opportunities.

Uhuru kenyatta did not make wealth during his 10 year tenure but rather his father made most of the money by corruption and stealing property from both swahilis and other natives in Kenya.
