They do know that they won’t have ownership of the development and won’t be the ones eating off the process right it would go straight to China like it is in Ethiopia and Kenya right now where they get useless buildings and roads but massive debt and no money, the wealth building process happens through self development and ownership, infact the process is more valuable than the end result

What there doing right now in Ethiopia and Kenya is beyond robbery, and there populace is too dumb to see it and think it’s a good thing they’ve literally found a way to have there overcrowded Chinese population find vast jobs in Africa bringing them money to take home, getting debt at the same time from these host countries, taking there resources, and getting paid building there infrastructure(where most of the wealth goes), there doing this also with excess steel in China meaning there getting rid of things they don’t even need and over charging for them and like you said because there loan sharks they get to keep the things they build ie ports and roads, because these dumb nations can’t pay them backbeyond robbery
