And yes, Kenyans are historically more likely to enact violence on Somalis than other Somalis are on each other but the only thing keeping them in check today is their political/economic dependence on Somalis and the security apparatus. As for NFD and Ogaden: gains are already being made.

The conflict had less to do with clan/qabil. It had more to do with political equity and it created more progress and economic development and governance for the region:

Somali regions actually have lower murder rates than most of Africa. Every country has short bursts of conflict, but that doesn’t define daily life for the majority. Lascaanod wasn’t ‘destroyed’ , it’s seeing investment and growth after the conflict.

If anything, that shows Somalis are high IQ, since they rebuild fast instead of wallowing in doomposting like you.

Only in the last few years has NFD started getting proper connectivity infrastructure, after Ruto scrapped the ID vetting system and ended the old ‘closed district’ treatment where Somalis paid taxes but got nothing back. Similar to the story as Ogaden post-2018 after the ONFL treaty, a turnaround thanks to Somalis persistence for self-determination, leveraging political pressure and economic influence.

First step is linking the NFD towns with each other and Jubbaland, and the next step is a full trade corridor to Mogadishu and beyond, inshaAllah
