It's just routine empty noise.
If you look back at the rhetoric aimed at Somalis in the early 2000s that is if you read old news articles in Kenyan media, its the exact some thing. And nothing major has happened.
It's also much harder now to cause any harm since Somalis are basically in charge of the entire security apparatus in Kenya . They also went crazy over this.
They even went crazy when the president ended NFD Identification vetting policy, which gives Somalis free movement and control. Chanting ''We will resist"
Somalis are govern NFD more fully now, more in control and have been continuelly elected as governors over it , they have launched major infrastructure projects the last 2-3 years as well to develop it, brought in new investments etc.
Garissa is the fastest growing developing city in Kenya right now. and they have succeeded in getting the president on their side and he is loudly fighting on their behalf to end the marginalization:
They now even run key political positions in Nairobi's local government Members of the County Assembly.
The real reason they are going ape-shit all over Social media all time about Somalis is because Kikuyus are loosing their dominant position and influence. Economically and politically. Especially since Somali politicians/Businessmen are building alliances and coalitions bridging across ethnic lines and for many of them fighting Somalis would be like suicide almost, instead they want to fight alongside Somalis like Ruto is.

I think another understated aspect is that for some Kenyans, Somalis will always be seen as somewhat foreign and not "true" Kenyans owing to the fact that Somalia is right next door. To some, a Somali operating in Nairobi is seen as influence from Somalia, a nation that has had some bad spats with Kenya in the past. I've seen plenty of misinformation of people claiming NFD Somalis are mostly refugees or immigrants from Jubaland or whatever.
Of course this is all ignoring the fact that I see next to no outrage or care about all the successful Indian and Chinese Kenyans so it might really just be a deep seated personal grudge against Somalis linked to geopolitical reasons.
But again I know most Kenyans are nice and don't harbor any ill intent against Somalis and these are just loud mouths.

You have a point there, and I also think the Islam component plays a big role.
A lot of people in Kenya still hold Islamophobic views and see Somalis as a “threat” to their Christian identity. On top of that, there’s a strong colonial worldview they’ve inherited. They idolize Cadaans and, by extension, Indians since the British elevated Indians as middlemen and overlords during colonial rule. Meanwhile, Somalis were the opposite: defiant, independent rebels who refused to be subdued. That defiance created a stigma that still lingers today.
So when Somalis succeed and support one another, it hits differently. With other races, Kenyans can shrug and say, “oh, they’re superior to us.” But when it’s Somalis, it’s like holding up a dirty mirror , it reflects back their own insecurities and inadequacies. Instead of seeing Somali success as something to emulate, some people spiral into jealousy and slander.

Yes, and also, it should be viewed as Western policy, particularly the UK their former colonial masters and the US.
Kenya is a proxy state, it is completely run by the Brits and they have always upheld their policies. They have British bases all over still and their troops are lead by the British.
Kenyans themselves wouldnt be able to come up with any policies against Somalis, they have always been directed by the west.
Anywhere Kenya moves you will see a Brit directing them.
It is the western policy of fighting Muslims. They are powerless on their own. Same with Ethiopia, these are states created and held together by the west, who direct all their policies, particularly towards us Somalis.

You’re right, if we really deep it, they’ve never actually been intelligent or resourceful enough to plot against Somalis on their own. Whatever they’ve gained has come from being proxy states, submitting themselves as servants to Western powers, Israel, and their allies, who dictate their policies and use them to do the dirty work.

They’re out here raging about Somalis ‘taking over,’ crying about ‘Somali oligarchs’ like that Francis guy every hour. Yet when the British abused them and control them, when the Chinese came in to slap them around and dictate terms, or when Indians blocked them from their own land and resources, they stayed quiet.
Meanwhile, most of their economy is already run by multinationals extracting billions every year and shipping it abroad.

I am not even from Kenya, and yes they absolutely are peaceful compared to Somali people. For one, these people did not destroy their country. Secondly, you're more likely to be killed by a fellow Somali than a Kenyan, hence why all the diaspora Somalis have moved to Kenya instead of Somalia. I hate this hypocrisy of the overreactionary Somali political analyst. If you had a country, and you weren't so hell bent on practicing qabiil like it's Islam, and you saw each other as brothers and sisters, maybe you would get back the NFD, maybe you'd get back Galbeed. This is “peaceful” to you? When have you seen this kind of chaos happening anywhere in Somalia, Ogaden, or even Djibouti in the last 30 years?
Your head is also stuck in 1992-1993 . Somalis have been building Somalia for decades now, not only has Mogadishu been rebuilt & thriving and they have built 115 towns and 33 cities.
As for being “more peaceful than Somalis,” miss me with that. Somalia actually has one of the lowest crime and murder rates in Africa. You can check the stats :

And yes, Kenyans are historically more likely to enact violence on Somalis than other Somalis are on each other but the only thing keeping them in check today is their political/economic dependence on Somalis and the security apparatus. Without that, their rage would spill beyond Twitter. They are the powerless buffoons beating their chest on twitter and Tiktok.
As for NFD and Ogaden: gains are already being made.
- NFD: ID vetting is gone, Somalis have more control in local governance, greater inclusion in the central government, and are launching major development projects.
- Ogaden: operates like an autonomous Somali-governed region, tied economically to the Somali sphere.
These weren’t won by calcaaling like you are doing or “false bravado” , they were hard-fought gains by Somalis taking actionable steps on the ground.

Why should somalia ally with enemy countries that occupy their peoples land. Thats basically just giving up and accepting the land as theirs. This is like saying if palastine just got along with israel and stopped being so terroristic maybe they would get their land back. Kenya is more of a failed state than Somalia could ever be. It’s a failed democracy where citizens literally torch their own capital in protest:

And he’s right. A country where 10% (mostly foreign multinationals) control all the wealth while the majority live in slums, working menial jobs for the elite, is the true definition of failure. That’s your “low IQ” reality.
Now let’s ask: ''what’s the purpose of a state?'' To provide services, raise living standards, and maintain order. Somalia, despite war and setbacks, has made more progress in the last 10 years than Kenya has in its entire existence:
- 90% of urban households now have improved housing
- 80% access to electricity across towns and cities
- 80% access to clean water
- Dozens of new hospitals, schools, and development projects
- And Somalia has a lower murder/crime rate than most of Africa, Kenya included.
And as for “landless refugees”? A refugee doesn’t return home to rebuild, invest, and lead , yet Somalis are doing exactly that. Every day, the diaspora brings back skills, knowledge, and wealth to push the country forward:
