It is very possible considering that Somalia is ranked ~ 16 in population now and will definitely be in the top 10 in SSA by 2050. Somalia will remain poor by developed country standards, but what really matters is that the quality of life will be much better than it is now as economic development continues. The only possible future where Somalia is not poor by 2100 is a future where AI has has been developed leading to rapid convergence.
