Kenya’s Turkana people genetically adapted to live in harsh environment, study suggests

I suspect same situation is replicate across the country. If you’ve see videos of somali men in Somalia on television you will notice a lot of pre diabetes bodies (skinny with no muscle, which will later mould into skinny fat diabetic). And most of these issues are not genetic but diet related. What this study is showing is that we are potentially at more risk due to our diet and history of recent illnesses urbanisation from a nomadic background.

There might be an obesity problem among get women in major cities in Somalia which is again heavily linked to diabetes:
