Yh this place was infested with man eating lions that would go in packs even as recent as the 60s. But now they’ve mostly been shot down.

For tourist purposes I agree but for the residents there who would have their babies snatched away at night then hell no. There were even elephants in the more watered regions of Somaliland (Waqooyi Galbeed, Awdal). But those were poached down by the cadaan colonialists.
