Kabtan Ayub's poor conduct and ill-tempered nature are a direct insult to the ethos of our Somali community in Puntland, and most recently his actions have escalated into causing serious discord in Puntland, triggering military conflict and even loss of life.

These events are alarming, infuriating and unacceptable. Ayub has demonstrated complete disregard for human life and for the harmony of our community. To let his actions go unpunished would set a terrible precedent for future social media influencers.

As a citizen who respects and values our land and our people, I implore the Somali Government to take immediate action against Kabtan Ayub. Hold him accountable for the bloodshed and unrest that his irresponsible behaviour has instigated in Puntland.

May justice prevail, because anything less would be a disservice to the victims of this needless conflict, and an encouragement to individuals like Ayub to continue to exploit and create havoc in our beloved nation.
