No it’s because they were Christian and they are far less important than Somalia when it comes to location. We had france, Britian, italy and Ethiopia on us and they only had the italians

People severely overestimate Europe, they were only able to wipe out the americas cos they didn’t have the wheels or horses or guns.And they hand no natural immunity for European diseases.

The only part of africa that is similar to that would be central Africa.

This is what made me understand that Hitler was not an aberration in German history; they were using the same rhetoric about a 'racial struggle' against people that didn't know they existed prior to German colonisation.

Reminds of this:

I remember an Iranian buddy really cracking me up regarding this. He pointed out that whites almost never really succeeded in conquering or "colonizing" a place if the technology was relatively even or if they couldn't wipe out most of the population with disease. Case in point, the only places they ever really succeeded in colonizing are places like the Americas, Australia, Soutern Africa and some Pacific islands. Basically places where they had a stark technological (weapons & agriculture) or immunological advantage like with many Native American groups that 3/4th died out just because some whitey sneazed in their direction.

MENAs, most SSAs, Desis, East Asians... They royally failed in the long-term at population replacing these groups and ruling them because they didn't die like flies from disease and had access to things like metal weaponry, rifles and cannons and decent enough population sizes due to being familiar with agriculture.

They really blow their own horns too much with their acquisitions in the New World. Even Geeljires would've likely conquered places like Mesoamerica easily due to having metallurgy, horses, rifles, cannons and being able to wipe out like 3/4th of the population in some cases without even having to lift a finger.

Europeans could never truly colonize and hold, long-term, places that weren't basically either inhabited by Neolithic or Paleolithic people and that also didn't have the added benefit of like 2/3rds of those people dying from diseases brought by cadaans in many cases. Africans and Asians were historically acclimated to a lot of the same pathogens as Europeans so you aren't going to wipe out most or even half of them by sneezing and outside of some pockets like central and southern Africa, much of Africa and Asia had things like metallurgy, gunpowder weapons and fort building alongside things like farming and pastoralism that would allow for overall greater population sizes that could rival or outstrip European colonists.

Can't find it now but I recall once reading some colonial documents that pretty much lamented that "colonizing" much of Africa and Asia was, in the longrun, not feasible for reasons like this.

In fact, look no further than the former agricultural parts of the Americas. Places inhabited by civilizations like the Aztecs or like the Southwestern United States. Those places are still heavily native or Mestizo today and cadaans ultimately failed at wiping them out. And that's DESPITE at least half of those people dying due to pathogens in many cases. Africa and Asia would've been that on steroids.
