Just came back from jummah salah ive realised spiratuality is all i need to take away my depression.

You explained the reason why many resort to mind altering drugs, alcohol and other risky behavior. It is to run away from that nagging mental anguish and emptiness one might feel everyday.

Your spirituality practiced everyday in moderation at first(doing what you can without putting too much burden on yourself since you just got started), will help you bring a balance to your life. Where you focused and exceeded on one end(feeding on the bad habits), now you will struggle to stay in the middle and control your bad tendencies.

I wish you well brother.

Good job buddy. I used to work security back in the day when I first got to New Zealand. First job I ever had. I put myself through ESL night classes. It wasn't easy believe me. Just you try parsing the difference between jinni words like "right" and "write" after a long day at the mafrish stuffing your pie hole with the divine leaf aka qaat. It's tough for a 68 IQ race.

To be fair it was not as hard as the time we had to disentangle the meaning of "too" from "two". The blue eyed kuffar tried to hold me down, but I soldiered on and beat the odds. My days of cleaning toilets were over when I got my diploma. I didn't really mind the toilets. Whether you clean your own toilet or somebody else's doesn't strike me as that big a difference. It was the homosexual activity in the cubicles that really distabalized me. I didn't know what cruising meant at the time. I support qaniis rights as much as the next guy, but I was a fresh qaxooti those days so getting propositioned by cadaan guys with a taste for coal dark African booty was not the highlight of my job.

Five years later I said " Mac salaamo" to that line of work and got me a job as a - what else? - an interpreter. Basically helping Somalis cheat the welfare system, God bless 'em. It was up and up from there. Keep the faith sxb, and if you must traffic in narcotics, switch to the divine leaf. Keeps the money in the community.
