He did not escape, its an narrative the Farmaajo's N&N is playing, they let Janaan go but since they court found him to be an criminal, the N&N just said he escaped.
Now the reason Farmaajo let Janaan go is because the Mxs are brewing an mini civil war in gedo against the Ogadens, and since Janaan's subclan who are majority in Gedo demanded his freedom as part of the agreement to join the campaign to fight the Ogadens the President farmaajo let Janaan go under the pretence of him escaping which is a full lie.
The Goal of janaan's release is an outright war between Mx and Ogadens, and i foresee an decisive win for the Ogadens.
