-high taxes
- high energy costs
- huge regulatory burden
-rapidly aging population average age of European is 47 while in America it’s 37
-culture that promotes comfort and well being over risk taking and hard work

In 2000 41 out of the top 100 companies were from Europe today it’s only 14 out of 100
