use this app called WhatsApp, hit up everyone you know in the west and ask for them to send you money through remittance

I went to puntland 3 times and the only way is to start your own business, the competition is fierce. Alternatively if you have a masters or phd you may stand a chance to work for one of the ngos in garowe or Bosaso. Good luck.

If you're an Engineer in all fields those SL companies are hiring
  • Telecom
  • Somtel
  • Somcable
Axiom international is hiring project managers to regularly travel to SL from UK

But you'll be competing with the graduates over there unless you're highly experienced in this field.

Check DP World Website there was some specialist jobs on there as menial jobs are given to locals especially reer Berbera.

There's a website somewhere that shows all the current proffesional available jobs in Somaliland.

I often wonder why Somalis don’t become a qualified tradie so they can open a business and rebuild their towns? It’s a job that’s looked down in Somali culture so take advantage of it before the job gets taken over.

I’d imagine electricians, plumbers and bricklayers would be high in demands as they’re the only skills needed to build house and transmission towers, no?

There are Indians who make $2000 a month doing that. That's alot in Somalia

they’re crappy with low pay. jobs in the government sector in Djibouti are a lot better. My djiboutian cousin teaches bio at uni. She makes $900 a month. Her brother is an accountant for dahabshiil and he makes the same. Their older brother is a doctor making $3000 a month

That’s a good idea. if you got like 25 friends you personally know on IG/whatsup/Snapchat and each 1 of them sends you $15 a month thru PayPal. That’ll be $377 easy money. I should’ve thought about this before.
