Qabiil is an identity based off of immutable characteristics similiar to race gender ethnicity etc. I dont think any of those are “issues” nor evil its conditions that surround them that cause them to conflict with one another not their mere existence as “divisions”.

Identity and its politics is non-negotiable yet you base your entire philosophy around being opposed to it. To me that is much more fitting of delusion.

Now for the strawman. I dont know much about genetics nor do I consider it important here. Identities formed off of patrilineal origins are immutable and even if falsified are extremely rigid once believed in. If half a clan is genetically sheegad it makes zero difference as weve seen with the Isaaq and many more.

Either way not a shred of this is qabiilist related but you can make it that way if thats what you need to be true

You may not be able to change your genealogy, but you can decide to stop forming a clan identity around it. In this regard, clan is nothing more than a social construct formed by arbitrarily stopping at a certain point in your family tree (i.e., a patriarch), and putting everyone after that point into your kinship unit. We could just as easily construct a super clan including every single Somali by moving further along the tree (which is what ethnicity is in a way). In summary: genealogy is immutable, but kinship units are arbitrary. Ask yourself: why did my qabil stop at its current founder?

Not only is this seemingly impossible to transform an entire societys structure of ID but it is fruitless as theres no reason to believe clan identity is a driver of conflict. Nobody fought anyone because his grandfather was different theres always a reason and its usually resource based.

Many of NN diaspora made rejecting clan their personality and think its a reason why theyre better then others. I know this will be hard to hear but no clan is not a dirty word.

hey brothers, I really don't follow politics outside of sspot, I learn so much from your valuable inputs and go from there by piecing things together. I wish sometimes my family were more politically aware as they never discuss this issues but other times I am thankful too because I am able to look at it from a distance and make my own judgements as an individual.

This doesn't contradict what I wrote. Ethnicity is not a social construct. It exists in object reality and we can use empirical tests to confirm someone's membership in a group. You cannot do this with qabil. It is by definition socially constructed and therefore arbitrary. Ethnic boundaries exist because there is sufficient genetic distance to warrant establishing a new category. We are too differentiated from other Cushitic groups to be a single ethnicity.
