No, I believe Xamar belongs to all Somalis similarly to how I believe that Hargesia belongs to all Somalilanders. But we need to respect that Abgaals and Mursaade are the ones that have origins there. Similarly to how Isaaqs have origins in Hargeisa particularly Saad Musse ect. They need to respect that.
I believe that Garowe is a Somali city in which I have a right to live in but I respect that my people do not hail from there.

I don’t believe that they are marti. They’ve been there for more than a century. But what I find funny is the lack of respect. None of us will ever argue that Hargeisa is not a city Isaaqs originate from or that Garowe is not an MJ origin city but all of a sudden people want to act brand new when it comes to Abgaals and Mursadde

I mentioned it because you said earlier, 'what relations does PL have with the south?'. You do know that Kismayo was Oromo land 200 years ago? Until Daroods took over from them and started settling there. Clans of PL origin were amongst those Somalis settling there afterwards.

The baadiyo of Xamar belongs to Hawiye, but not the city itself. It was only in 1991 that Xamar became a Hawiye city.

I know that many Abgaals are from the baadiyo of the city but groups like the Reer Mattan of Abgaals are from Xamar same with Mursadde groups. MJs have no claim and were there as immigrant traders.

Also, Xamar has expanded so places that weren’t historically Xamar are now part of Xamar and those places have always had Hawiye living there. They are the originals. Even Jazeerah wasn’t Xamar in the past and my great grandparents were born there.

Hence this whole conversation about Hawiyes not originating in Xamar isn’t even honest as it doesn’t reflect the new expanded city.
