January 26 1991 the 4th Somali freedom day

We owed SNM jackshit, that's the difference between Mudulood and the rest of Hawiye. We don't buy the Irir card, no meal is free.

Neither reer SNM nor reerSPM are Irir. But lets forget SNM/SPM agreement with USC.

Was it a worth it to be extra nice to the defeated ilma Abbe Afweyne at the cost of fragmenting the victorious USC mujaahidiin?

Every clan when it got power used new established government to secure more grazing land and bully neighbors. In the past we negotiated and came to agreements as equals, but with central government whoever was in charge or allied with new leader used that power to take whatever they wanted not thinking they might lose power one day. This was recipe for rebellion and deep clan hatred. When sharmake died he was causing a lot of fighting in mudug and taking grazing land. Country had peaceful reset with assassination.

Siad Barre should have stepped down or been assasinated right after Ogaden war loss. when he started weakening other state institutions and pitting clans against each other. think we could have had another peaceful reset. Siad after Ogaden war pushed country beyond point of no return due to him being power hungry. HG was probably most savage during civil war but they were hurt most by two successive governments. Now they are in position where same violations can’t be repeated against them which is why they see aideed as hero. Same thing with somaliland and siad barre , Isaaq not putting their faith in south’s hands again. Maybe with time wrongs are forgotten and reset happens when we all die who have connection to civil war.
Siad bare at soccer game laughing like monkey. Same month we lost Ogaden war should have been take out here πŸ˜†

I stop reading your posts at "lover Morgan" and since you've said this perplexing nonsense to me, twice, I will add you to my ignore list. Bye weirdo.

Fam tried to play the "well, what about _____?" Typical of a Hawiye to play the whataboutism. Morgan isnt even liked by majority of MJ's, except a selected few mostly reer Kismayo for known reasons. We dont blindly follow warlords like Uraayo Samaale do, mainly Hawiye. These people would dickride Fircawn if he was Hawiye nacalaa

Here is Said Barre and Morgan's Goons, defeated and dehydrated, they came to attack walawene iyo balidoogle, but got defeated they are lucky that UNC didnt kill them on the spot but instead offered them Water/cig and treated them like PLO's, the same cannot be said about the PLO under Morgan or Said Barre because they killed everything and robbed the civilians as they passed town.

91 was total anarchy but I always wanted to know why did aydid and his clan turn on their Fellow rebel Allies (AY-MJ) and attack galkacyo? Why was spm also fellow rebel attacked in afgoye by USC? I can understand chasing siyad bare and Morgan who wanted to bring the old regime back but why attack your fellow rebels? This forced a lot of people to join up with siyad bare and Morgan. Why fight old regime when your fellow rebels are coming after you ?

The Somali Patriotic Movement (SPM) was formed to fight on behalf of the Ogadeni in 1989 and continued to represent at least some faction of Ogadeni subclans.

The original leader of the SPM was General Aden Abdullahi Nur "Gebiyou" of the Aulihan subclan, but later following a schism among the various Ogadeni subclans of the SPM, Colonel Ahmed Omar Jess became leader of a SPM faction. A Reuters report referred to Gebiyou as chairman of the SPM in January 1996 (15 Jan. 1996).

As a military leader, Jess has continued to skirmish with General Mohamad Hirsi "Morgan" for control of Kismayo, since he lost control of the city in 1993.

In February 1996 Africa Confidential reported that Jess remained in General Aydeed's self-appointed government even though Jess "has mixed feelings about Aydeed and his own position is shaky.

It had been reported that Jess had been weakened because 25 leaders in the SPM had joined up with UNC Aydeed's enemy in Mogadishu, UNC Ali Mahdi Mohamed 11 Nov. 1995.

Colonel Ahmed Omar Jess was accused of diverting the group's funds for personal use by the defectors. However, Jess was in control of the area surrounding Kismayo,

Following Aydeed's death, Africa Confidential reported that Jess remained in Aydeed's government, although his involvement "has been increasingly uneasy over the past year" 23 Aug. 1996,

USC Surprise attack on Northern Gaalkacyo,

The main front line in the ongoing, low-level war in central Somalia is the town of Gaalkacyo. The home town of Somalia's premier warlord, Mohamed Farah Aideed, it is in the hands of a rival warlord, who is the military leader of the Marehan faction recently loyal to ousted dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. The Marehan militia calls itself the Somali National Front and is commanded by Mohamed Said Hersi Morgan, Siad Barre's son-in-law and a former defense minister under him. Aideed's United Somali Congress militia and Morgan's force engage in periodic skirmishes around Gaalkacyo -- facing off with tanks and artillery in hit-and-run grabs for territory.

For Aideed, this battle is personal. The central region is the traditional area of his Habr Gedir faction, and he is fighting to reclaim territory he sees as rightfully his. For the Marehan, the battle is over survival. Members of the faction fear a victorious Aideed would continue to sweep north into their traditional territory, and they are trying to hold the line at Gaalkacyo.

After the second battle of Afgooye, and the routing of the Somali National Army under Morgan and it's associated destruction of the Rahanweyne food and water resources in Bay the USC-Aideed faction had some non-Haber Gedir support among the Galjel and among Jess' SPM
