Its time that Somalia's regional states pushed for oil and gas exploration

I was disheartened to what the UAE did to Bosaso port or Qatar's broken promise towards Hobyo port development. We have oil and gas all over Somalia. I know Puntland has oil and gas so does Galmudug and the rest of Somalia. We are a clever people, why don't we get this oil and gas out and sell it to China or Japan.

If Galmudg were to drill for its oil and gas It would be happy to share with all Somali's, not just in Somalia but in the horn of Africa, I would be happy to see billions spent to improve infrastructure and education all over the country. Start with mega ports built in Bosaso, Hobyo, Hirshebelle and Baraawe etc

All we have to do is sign a contract with the Turkish government. They have expertise for drilling for oil and gas. This is just one resource.

Faroole when he was president of Puntland made a good attempt to drill for oil. He was very close but just stopped. Somaliland also tried by signing a contract with Genel oil corp but they too just stopped.

Because of research promising discoveries have been found on the coast of Somalia, from Mudug - Lower Jubba. These are solid and proven

I really hope we don't have anything tbh. A weak man holding treasure is no treasure to him but a poison
Thats an outdated view, its a race against time. Oil prices are low now and will only get lower. If there is only 100 years to pump and sell, you are wasting time.

Pump, make money and develop. Look at Xamar, when people see that you can make money, people want to do better and live better.

Aid and lack of generated money is the real curse.

Look at these nay sayers the truth is we don't know what would happen in the future the most logical thing to do if you're at the bottom for all measures in the world is milk anything that will get you out of that position.

People underestimate how costly is it to set up drilling platform & install pipelines. This industry is very capital intensive and takes 5-7 years to start oil production even if funds, security and expertise are available.

Folks in the diaspora could easily crowd fund it. Ethiopians managed to raise $5 billion from their own people for the dam a few rigs is nothing for us to raise. The complications you speak of is just bureaucracy nations with capital can argue for years we don't got that kind of time.
