It seems like Russia is literally trying to force the remining of EU non Nato members to join nato

Russia sent maintenance ships very close to Gotland that made the swedes panicked

These ships had military vessels escorting them
( seemingly for protections)

But the maintenance ships were too close to Gotland and away from the Nordstream pipeline

Why you think? They take Ukraine as their back yard, and it joining the west is troubling to them

The russians call kiev the mother of all russian cities. Nato also made an agreement with russia to not enter russia's backyard. It is the same if mexico joined the soviet union. America would not be pleased.

Russia is fighting for it's future against nato. These countries need a new defense pact one that includes russia as an ally instead of enemy. They can't win if russia attacks. Plus if the west is busy fighting the russians, we will see a lot of shenanigans happening through out the world.

It will be a messy war if it happens. You will have US + NATO countries on one side & Russia + stan countries and China+pakistan on the other. The only safe places will be South America and Africa, Somalis will be forced to make reversed tahriib!

Yes, I believe that NATO and its allies have in a way provoked Russia by courting Ukraine. Whether or not a sovereign nation wants to join NATO is their decision but Ukraine's situation is different, Russia wants a buffer against the West because historically it has been invaded by the West several times.

This current standoff is more precarious than the previous times but I still don't think it will lead to full-scale war. There's just too much to risk on both sides.

Yes, but still that undermine Ukraine sovereignty, for instance joining a trade agreement with EU is a no no from Putin. Like they are really under Russia orders. Ukrainians never wanted to join nato more than now, from the moment russia said no to the economic trade deal with EU it created a anti Russia feeling between Ukrainians . This last few years it made it clear they would not have a say to their country as long they are unprotected

Note that it started when Russia denied Ukraine’s trade deal with the EU. Joining NATO is new

This conflict is understandable from both sides. Yet this conflict is more between nato, usa, europe and russia instead of it being between ukraine and russia.

The russian state is being crawled up against by the western powers.

Nato shouldn't have grown into what it is today.

Yes i agree the russian state got broken down. It is rebuilding itself though. If ukraine wants peace it's fine just stay out of the military affairs between eu/nato vs russia. You do know that waging war against russia is very bad for Europe. Ukraine will get toast either way. It is better to anticipate it give the russians what they want and develop what's left of the nation. And develop your own nuclear arsenal which will scare off moscow.

I think it will happen sxb, they have been talking about the ”great reset” for a while now, what perfect way isn’t it to implement it after a devastating war?

Alright, first Russia is getting owned by oligarchs.
Second the trade agreement that sparked all this was economic not military so there is no way other than having balls to stay on their ground

The usa has the exact same system but more up to date. Same goes for europe since they got the marshall plan instead of natural economical growth.

China has already completed the process by being brutal.

Ukraine is under the russian sphere of influence, like how west africa is under the french sphere of influence.

Russia is a c*nt of a country however they play the same game as the other world powers.
